Atelier Oblique

In search of new forms of expression, designer Mario Lombardo founded the fragrance house Atl. Oblique in Berlin in 2016 to capture his life journey and childhood memories in olfactory chords. The name Oblique is derived from the French term for "Italic," referring to a slanted typeface, thus bridging the gap between the fragrance house and Lombardo's design roots. Lombardo playfully transcends stylistic boundaries in his work, daring to balance various disciplines that may seem incompatible, creating new connections in language, space, aesthetics, and material. Composed in the French perfume cities of Grasse and Paris and handcrafted in Germany, the fragrances meet the highest standards of content and design in the spirit of Bauhaus philosophy. In addition to unique fragrance compositions, the unisex Eau de Parfum line impresses with limited editions and simple packaging design.
