The composition opens with fig leaves — green, soft, and almost milky — lifted by the gentle heat of black pepper. Before long, the heart of the fragrance reveals itself: warm bread and grain accords, softly sweet like brioche dough. These are wrapped in delicate notes of mimosa and orange blossom, adding a floral lightness to the scent’s warm, textured depth — like bread just pulled from the oven. In the base, creamy sandalwood provides a grounding sense of warmth and intimacy. Ambroxan adds a smooth, radiant glow, while golden Bourbon vanilla brings a subtle sweetness — never too much, just enough to leave a soft, comforting trail.

Son Venin was founded in 2016 by the friendly designers Dag Laska and Svein Haakon Lia in Oslo. Inspired by olfactory memories of Scandinavian and continental heritage, it was their wish to create unique unisex perfumes. For them, scent is the relationship between you and your spirit, between you and other people, between you and this world. Perfume is not just a smell, but what happens in the mind. In search of the best fragrance components, they ended up in southern France, where collaboration with the best and most experienced noses in the world began to develop a variety of scents based on their ideas. The fragrance compositions are refined and charismatic, made from the best ingredients and without unnecessary chemicals. At Son Venin, the focus is on both the sensory and visual experience.
