Birch bark extract contains natural acids like betulin and salicylic acid, which contribute to gentle exfoliation, remove dead skin cells, and promote a smoother skin appearance. It has anti-inflammatory properties to soothe irritated skin and reduce redness, making it suitable for sensitive skin types as well. Birch bark extract is rich in antioxidants and helps protect the skin from damage caused by free radicals and environmental pollutants, while also improving the skin's moisture retention, contributing to a healthier complexion. Whitewillow bark is a natural form of salicylic acid (beta-hydroxy acid or BHA) with a high content of anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial salicin, which reduces skin blemishes and clogged pores while improving skin texture.
