Faux Flora – Discovery Set – Eau de Parfum

The perfumery and the art collective Fischersund presents five blooming fragrances called Faux Flora. They transport you to a world of conceptual botany that explores the intersection of natural and synthetic. A sensory representation of the life cycle of a plant, depicted through human milestones, exhibited and premiered as an exhibition at the National Nordic Museum in Seattle. The life cycle of a plant – germination, growth, flowering, seed formation, and seed dispersal – is thus overlapped with the life cycle of a human – birth, childhood, adolescence, adulthood, and death. Faux Flora springs from universal experiences and creates mythical flowers that are otherworldly yet familiar.  
With this Discovery Set of handcrafted and hand-poured flacons containing the fragrances showcased in the exhibition, one can explore each phase of Faux Flora. Accompanying this is a limited edition of cards featuring artworks by co-founder and creative director Ingibjörg Birgisdottir, as well as fragrant poems that guide you through each scent.

The set contains 8ml each of the following fragrances:

Faux Flora N°1 – Porcelain, mountain milk, concrete, cotton, dust, saliva
Top notes: bergamot, sun eruption
Heart notes: cream, salt, iris
Base notes: white musk, ambroxan, iso gamma super

Faux Flora N°2 – brush, cotton candy, grass stains, growing pains,band-aid, orange peels
Top notes: lemon peels, lavender, paprika
Heart notes: tomato leaf, petitgrain, salt, licorice, raspberry
Base notes: cedarwood, vetiver, musk

Faux FloraN°3 – lipstick, leather shoes, cigarette smoke, mascara, spilled cocktails
Top notes: pink pepper, bergamot
Heart notes: lipstick, magnolia, rose
Base notes: vanilla, leather, sugar

Faux FloraN°4 –golden amber, resin tears, sweet labdanum, entwined roots, shared effort, cardboard
Top notes: pine, spice
Heart notes: oil, incense, cypress
Base notes: balm, musk, cedarwood, resin, sandalwood, cashmeran, amber

Faux FloraN°5 – absorption of any light, dead ship, ash, blackened earth
Top notes: spice, dirt, red wine, ash
