Banana trees stand closely packed between simple wooden huts, where daily life unfolds at an unhurried pace. The trees already carry heavy clusters of fruit – many of them nearly ready for harvest. A green banana scent lingers in the air, slightly unripe, creamy, and edged with a subtle tart freshness. From the sun-warmed wood of the huts, a bright oud note begins to rise. It remains dry and clear, more reminiscent of warm, freshly cut timber than anything dark or opulent. The heat of the day still clings to the skin, gradually revealing a resinous depth that spreads with quiet persistence. This balsamic warmth merges effortlessly with the green and woody facets. Nothing feels excessive or out of place – everything interlocks, forming a coherent composition with a slightly raw edge.
