Some perfume brands are driven by innovation and the new. Adamo Parfum finds its inspiration in what came before. Historical cultures or almost forgotten formulas – history itself was the trigger for the Italian brand Adamo Parfum to launch its first collection in 2023. The theme: nothing less than the Roman Empire.
The Roman Collection by master perfumer Christian Provenzano quickly became a milestone in the niche fragrance scene. It wasn’t about discovering how people in togas and tunics perfumed themselves, but about recreating the spirit of that era through scent. Numbered from I to V – and with bottles whose design almost hypnotizes you – the Roman Collection presents the excellence and opulence of a historical era in olfactory form. The favorites of the Roman Collection:
- Numero Uno (I): The expression of pure indulgence. Sultry, powdery, and seductive with notes of bergamot, rum, violet, raspberry, patchouli, vanilla, and amber.
- Numero Quattro (IV): Heavy and sensual. Luxury at its finest – expressed through rose accords, bergamot, cashmere musk, and Oud Assafi.
- Numero Cinque (V): A leathery gourmand with deep notes of dark chocolate. Dark and rich, with a fresh kick of ginger in the top note.

It didn’t stop with Rome: Adamo Parfum’s second collection expanded the concept to other places around the world defined by their expressive character. The choice fell on coastal landscapes – fittingly named the Costeria Collection. Created by the renowned noses Hamid Merati-Kashani and Julien Rasquinet, all three fragrances take you to a different spot by the sea:
- Clifton: Cape Town in South Africa. A woody gourmand with immense charisma, lush, warm, and smoky with cardamom, fig, sandalwood, tonka, and vanilla.
- Juanillo: Cap Cana in the Dominican Republic. The shimmering soul of Latin America with Caribbean charm – captured through citrus top notes, coconut, pistachio, praline, and musk.
- South of 5th: Miami. The vibe of wide beaches between sun-kissed cocktails and party nights. Aquatic and green with marine accords, pink pepper, nutmeg, Haitian vetiver, and cedarwood.
